Description
This is my newest cosplay- Oliver from the game Ni No Kuni! It’s such a beautiful and charming game with a classic JRPG formula,and a fun real-time battle system.
Oliver, all props, and my Mite were made entirely by me. This was my first time making a large plush, and I’m really pleased with how he turned out! I cast the green and blue gems out of resin for the cape brooch and wand. The wand is a dowel, with craft foam layers glued together and carved down, and then covered in wonderflex. The belt buckle and brooch are craft foam and wonderflex as well. The locket is craft foam (in a 3D shape) filled with stuffing, then covered in Apoxie Sculpt, sanded, and sprayed with clear gloss. The wig is a Hansel from Arda Wigs. My favourite fabric choice was the shiny interior of the cape. I sadly don’t remember what type of fabric it is, but it’s the most lovely, smooth, and shiny fabric I have ever found! The other fabrics are cotton twill mixes, a matte vinyl for the belt, and a polyester blend for the outer shell of the cape (no wrinkles with synthetics!).
It was a lot of fun to be Oliver when I wore him this past Otakon. I didn’t know how popular the game would be, but I was able to meet fellow fans and cosplayers also from the game (in particular, a fantastic White Witch and Shadar)!

This cosplay is absolutely amazing, the best Oliver I've seen to be honest! The outfit, props and you look simply flawless and just great *u* I'm actually planning on cosplaying Oliver later this year and I REALLY look up to and admire your cosplay, I just hope my cos turns out at least half as good haha. Keep up the awesome work!
